Can any high school student apply for this scholarship?

Currently, the R. Drew Dalton Foundation only presents this scholarship to seniors at Troy High School in Troy, Ohio. The foundation hopes in the future to have enough resources to allow seniors at other high schools around the United States to apply and receive funding.

What are the requirements for students who apply for the scholarship?

Troy High School seniors are eligible to apply for the scholarship if they:

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with submission of their high school transcript.

  • A candidate for graduation at Troy High School at the end of the current academic year.

  • Accepted and enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited four (4) year institution of higher learning, and willingness to provide acceptance documentation for a degree in the field of Art, Architecture, Design and/or Planning.

  • Completed Troy High School Scholarship form-on Part IV: Essay - Include why they have chosen to pursue a degree in this field and what educational goals they expect to attain.

  • Submit two (2) personal references from individuals not related to you.

How is the recipient for the R. Drew Dalton scholarship chosen?

The R. Drew Dalton Foundation board votes each year on a recipient. The board comprises of five members, and the recipient with the most votes is awarded the R. Drew Dalton Scholarship. The boards selection process is based solely on the candidates Troy High School scholarship application.
